Trackable delivery

All deliveries within Norway are fully trackable. All international deliveries with DHL are fully trackable. In both cases you will get a message with the tracking code once we have entered the order has been entered in to their systems, and you will see the parcel´s movements after it has been scanned as received by the courrier.

Non-trackable delivery

Unless you actively pick delivery with DHL at check out, all international orders are sent by regular postal service. Regular Post is trackable only from the moment we deliver it to the post office until it leaves Norway to be handed to the postal service in your country. Regular post is hence not trackable and it is not insured. You will not get a tracking code, and it is not possible for either you or us to know the location of the parcel from the moment it leaves Norway, until it appears in your mailbox. By picking this method you accept these terms. Should your order get lost or damaged during transportation, we will not be able to refund or replace it. If your order contains fragile items and/or have placed a high-value order; if you are unable to trust the postal service in your country, need your products delivered quickly, or simply want to make sure that you can track them, we recommend you to pick delivery with DHL at checkout. DHL deliveries are trackable and insured. The costs for your area will appear automatically at checkout.

Delivery times

All orders are processed within 3 days of being received. The delivery time varies depending on the type of delivery service you choose. Parcels within Norway will teke between 3 and 8 days. International parcels sent with DHL take between 2 to 4 days to arrive after we have handed to them to the courrier. International parcels sent with regular post will normally take between 1 to 3 weeks depending on your location, the efficiency of the postal service in your country, and/or whether the parcel has been stopped by customs for clearance. Most packages will take no longer than 15 days to reach their destination. If they take longer, it has most likely been stopped by customs authorities in your country for inspection and processing. In this case, customs will contact you directly. We have no way of knowing if this has happened until they contact you, so you will just need to be patient. If you want fast delivery and to always know where your package is, choose DHL as your shipping method.

Payment

All prices are in Norwegian Crowns -NOK. On the English version of the webshop, the prices are shown excluding the 25% Norwegian sales tax (VAT). If the delivery address of the order is in Norway, sales tax will be added at checkout. On the Norwegian webshop, the 25% Norwegian sales tax (VAT) is included in the prices. If the delivery address of the order is outside Norway, VAT will be deducted at checkout. You can pay by PayPal or credit card, we accept Visa and Mastercard.

Taxes & Duties in your country

If you are purchasing from outside Norway, be aware that additional taxes apply if your order surpasses the minimum tax-free value limit for private persons in your country. We do not have an overview of the different limits in every country, so if you want to keep the order under the taxable limit, please check with the customs authorities in your country. Orders that are stopped for customs clearance are also subject to a fixed customs processing fee. This fee varies according to country and shipping method.

Shipping cost

Shipping rates will be displayed at checkout according to the applicable rate for the size and volume to each country. DHL somteimes calculates some extra surcharges if your location is rated as a remote area. Our webshop is not fully integrated with the DHL systeme so, It is impossible for us to calculate this in our store in advance. We find about it only when we do the booking. In these rare cases, and only if the difference is too high, we will contact you to inform about it and find a solution.

Returns

Changed your mind? That’s ok, sometimes it happens. Take contact with us at hello@fitjarislands.com and we will sort out whether you want a refund or a replacement. We will refund or replace the items after the return has been received in pristine condition, unopened and unused. You will pay for return shipping and should you want a replacement, for the shipping of the new product. For international shipments, we will also charge any customs fees for re-importing the products to Norway if applicable. You have 28 days from the day you placed the order to return the products. To process a return you must inform us within that limit. The return must be approved by us. Packages that are returned to us with freight collect will not be taken from the post office and will be sent in return to you.

Non collected / Rejected / Wrongly addressed parcels 

International parcels that are returned to us due to the customers´ decision of rejecting customs charges, parcels that are not collected at the post office at all, and parcels that are returned to us due to wrong delivery address/address that cannot be found, will be refunded once the parcel has reached us. The shipping cost and a fixed charge of 110kr for customs fees for re-importing the parcel to Norway will be deducted from the refund.

Damages

If you receive a dmaged product, send an e-mail to hello@fitjarislands.com with a picture and the description of the problem. We will take it from there and see how to solve the problem. If the damage seemed to have happened during transportation, please make sure you take a pictures of the package the day it arrives to you  including any stickers and notes the postal service may have added to the parcel. This is especially important if the delivery has been done by DHL.
